Configuring PHPStorm for Drupal Development

A few months ago after much frustration of Eclipse lagging and DLTK indexing in progress I decided to make the switch to PHPStorm and have never looked back.

PHPStorm is designed for PHP development, and with a few plugins, provides tight integration with Drupal, Symfony and Twig. It also has built in support for LESS, SASS and many other related technologies. I was a bit reluctant to upgrade to a commercial product at first, but it wasn’t long before I realised the $8.90/mo was worth it.

Google Alerts is a service that generates search engine results, based on keywords you provide, and delivers the results to your e-mail account.

You can use this service for many reasons, such as monitoring the web for specific information about your company, your kids, your online content's popularity or your competition. You can also use it to keep up to date with new advancements, celebrity gossip or current trends.

Most businesses will use it to monitor their company, product and brand reputation.

Website analytics

In order to understand how your website is being used you need to measure, collect, analyse and report on web data. These days it is not just a process for measuring web traffic but can be used as a tool for business and market research, and to assess and improve the effectiveness of a website.

When GreenAcorn builds a website for you, we will automatically add the Google Analytics service to your site and configure the domains and tracking settings.
